Baltimore Ad Club Represented with Six District and Three National ADDY® Awards

by | May 10, 2017

The AAF Baltimore is thrilled to announce that Baltimore-based firms MGH, Early Light Media and Frank Strategic Marketing, who were honored with Silver and Gold ADDYs at the 43rd Annual Baltimore American Advertising Awards Show, have gone on to capture awards at the District Two and National levels of ADDY competition.

MGH was honored with three Silver and one Gold ADDY at the District Two competition in April, across several category entries for work done for OLD BAY®. Two of those entries have also won at the national level.  Early Light Media won a Silver ADDY at the district level, as well as a national ADDY, in the category of Cinematography, for the production company’s short documentary film Throw, presented by YoYoExpert.com. Frank Strategic Marketing was honored with a Silver ADDY award at the district level for its Ellicott City Reopener direct mail campaign.

“Baltimore has long enjoyed a thriving advertising industry and a high level of creative talent. Recognition for our members from such a respected national showcase helps to continue this tradition,” said David Blum, Senior VP, GKV and President of AAF Baltimore.

At the National level, more than 1,300 entries were judged by a panel of top creative professionals from around the country at the AIA in Washington D.C., including the winning entries from local firms MGH and Early Light Media. Both teams are invited to represent the Baltimore advertising community as winners at the AAF’s national conference, Admerica, taking place June 7-10 in New Orleans, La. The American Advertising Awards competition is the industry’s largest and most representative competition — attracting more than 40,000 entries every year in local competitions. Gold winners at the local level move on to the regional competition, competing with agencies from Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, Virginia and Washington, D.C. A win at the district level earns a spot in the National American Advertising Awards Competition. National winners are honored at the AAF’s national conference in June.
