Baltimore’s Think Again Media has merged with Bolt Labs Creative, a Chicago and LA-based content creation studio and Think Again’s Debbie Dreher has moved to Los Angeles to serve as executive producer in charge of creative and production. “We are excited about the changing landscape for brands in media production and distribution and look forward to being at the forefront of the action in LA,” Dreher said.
Connectus Software, based in the Emerging Technology Center, announced plans to launch version 3.0 of its news platform NewsBox that allows users to read, publish and monitor content. Initially developed as a PR platform for businesses, NewsBox has become a broader platform for users who want to find quality content, according to founder and CEO Gary Pick. While earlier versions focused on hosting content and distributing it to outside readers, the new platform aims to attract readers directly. Pick said Connectus is actively seeking content, technology and distribution partnerships.
Planit leads the list of Baltimore’s largest advertising agencies, according to the annual list compiled by the Baltimore Business Journal. The top five, based on number of full-time employees, are: Planit, GKV, R2i, TBC and ADG Creative.
