Business Insider adds Ari Isaacman D’Angelo as chief communications officer

Business Insider appointed Ari Isaacman D’Angelo, Annapolis, Md, as chief communications officer. According to Insider, she will play “a pivotal role in shaping Business Insider’s story as the company continues to advance its new strategy and way forward and focus on the core pillars of business, tech and innovation. As chief communications officer, she will lead communications efforts to amplify Business Insider’s impactful journalism.”

“I believe in journalism as a powerful force for making the world a better place, and I am especially interested in the important role of business in shaping society and our everyday lives,” says Isaacman D’Angelo. “I am thrilled to be joining the ambitious team at Business Insider and look forward to uplifting the newsroom’s reporting and contributing to the growth of independent journalism into the future.”

Prior to Business Insider, she was a managing director at an advisory firm, FGS Global, where she worked with clients across industries spanning education, media and nonprofits. She also spent seven years at The New York Times, beginning as a growth editor in the newsroom and later serving as a spokesperson and director of communications. She served as a spokesperson for the White House Office of Management and Budget, and she started her career as a public school teacher.
