“Brewmore | Baltimore,” a feature-length documentary by Baltimore’s Digital Cave about the rich history of brewing beer in Baltimore has won an Emmy in the Documentary – Cultural/Topical category in the 58th Emmy® Awards presented by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter.
According to Digital Cave’s Todd Yuhanick, “Brewmore | Baltimore” chronicles the rich history of the beer industry nationally and locally through the eyes of Baltimore, its history as a brewing empire and its vision to reclaim the past. Director is Nicholas Kovacic; Matthew Riggieri is the producer.
In other Baltimore awards: WBFF-TV topped the Baltimore news stations with 11 awards.
The Board of Governors Award for “outstanding achievement and unique accomplishment” went to Jayne Miller, WBAL‐TV investigative reporter who has been with WBAL for over 30 years.
“Jayne Miller is an incredibly talented journalist dedicated to the truth,” said Chapter President Les Heintz. “With more than 40 years in the business, she is passionate about what she does: holding people accountable; exposing wrongs; and informing and helping viewers.”
There were 937 submissions for this year’s Call for Entries in 105 separate categories.
