Former Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake of SRB & Associates has been in the media recently, serving as spokesperson for rapper Travis Scott, whose Astroworld Festival concert in Houston was the scene of a crowd surge that killed nine people and that officials declared a “mass casualty” incident.
Appearing on the “CBS Mornings” show, Rawlings-Blake said it was “ludicrous” to believe that Scott could have stopped the concert. Only the executive producer and concert producer had the authority to stop the concert under the 59-page operations plan, she said.
The Baltimore Business Journal came out with its “40 Under 40” issue this week and one of the region’s most respected advertising account professionals made the list: Liz Borcik, account director with Planit.
From the nomination: “By constantly identifying and creating new work streams and solutions, Liz’s collaboration and execution has led to client growth in numerous areas.
“Liz was trusted with spearheading the creation of a brand refresh for SECU. The new campaign, called ‘Here’s to the Seekers,’ is SECU’s new brand visual identity and positioning.”
