At the Baltimore Business Journal, Rhonda Pringle, an advertising sales manager with more than 20 years of experience, was named publisher and market president. According to the newspaper, Pringle, a Florida native, joins the BBJ from its sister paper, the Phoenix Business Journal, where she has been advertising director since 2015. In April, the BBJ reported that John Dinkel, the longtime president and publisher, would be stepping down from the position, effective June 1, “to pursue new adventures.” Dinkel joined the Business Journal in 2001 as advertising director and was named publisher in 2006.

Planit’s social media director, Liz Borcik, has left the Baltimore agency for a position at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis as marketing strategist.

Ainsley & Co. announced that Rick Faint joined the agency as a Partner and Chief Growth Officer. According to an announcement, Faint has worked as a CEO, CFO, board member and advisor for both public and private companies, with extensive experience in public and private corporate finance, financial management, marketing, sales, operations, technology, mergers and acquisitions and more. Most recently, he served as the CFO and General Counsel at home decor company Bambeco.

Mindgrub’s Vice President of Creative Strategy, Leah Vogely, is serving as a mentor in the Technovation Entrepreneurship Program to a team of three female entrepreneurs from Atholton High School in Columbia, Md. Technovation offers girls from around the world the opportunity to learn the skills they need to emerge as tech entrepreneurs and leaders through the lens of mobile app development. Also at Mindgrub, the agency was named one of Inc. magazine’s “Best Places to Work” for 2017, the publication’s second annual ranking in the fast-growing private company sector.

MGH added four new employees and promoting two within its digital marketing, media and social media marketing teams:

Shy-Asia Andrews-Strawther joined the agency as an associate digital analyst. She previously served as a regional marketing coordinator at MileOne Automotive. Paul Didwall joined as a social media marketing account coordinator. He previously worked as an associate account executive intern at imre. Derek Gordon is now social media marketing account manager. He previously served as a social community enrollment manager for Walden University. Brandon Welch joined as a senior media buyer. He previously worked as a senior integrated media buyer at Zimmerman Advertising in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and brings 11 years of experience.

The recent promotions at MGH include Morgan Lefkof and Matt Owings, both now social media marketing account executives.
