Agnes Scott College in Georgia has named Ann T. Gallant as “Distinguished Alumnae for Career” for 2015. A partner at Synergies Consulting Group, Gallant graduated from Agnes Scott in 1968 and spent most of her career in marketing and communications, including 11 years as vice president of corporate communications at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and 12 years at The Baltimore Sun as director of marketing and communications.
Salisbury-based hotel management and services company Marshall Hotels & Resorts has named Randy Griffin executive vice-president of sales & marketing. Prior to joining Marshall, Griffin was vice president of sales at Marriott International Global Sales Organization where he developed Marriott’s sales certification training programs for field sales executives.

Amy Powers is the new vice president of advertising for the Baltimore Sun Media Group, joining from the Daily Press Media Group in Newport News, Va. According to The Sun, after a nine-year career in radio advertising sales, Powers joined Tribune Publishing in 2002 at the Chicago Tribune Media Group as an automotive advertising sales representative. The Illinois native worked her way up to advertising sales director there before moving to the Daily Press.
