Web and public relations agency Vitamin announced that it has been selected as agency of record for the Business Network for Offshore Wind following a competitive RFP process. As the only non-profit organization in the United States solely focused on the creation of an offshore wind industry, the Network’s aim is for the United States to have a strong offshore wind supply chain that has a leading role in the evolving global offshore wind industry. As AOR, Vitamin will develop and execute an integrated marketing-communications strategy for the organization and its marquee event, the 2017 International Offshore Wind Partnering Forum, which is the #1 technical conference for offshore wind in the U.S., according to a release. “Offshore wind is a burgeoning market in the U.S. and while the cost savings of offshore wind are now proven in Europe, our country is still in the early stages of educating the market on its many benefits,” said Amanda Karfakis, president and CEO of Vitamin. “It’s an important time for the offshore wind industry domestically and Vitamin is looking forward to positioning the Network as the non-profit leader in U.S. offshore wind.”
