Cary Hatch, who recently announced her retirement from a long, illustrious career in advertising, will be recognized for her many contributions to the profession at the upcoming summit on October 30. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the American Advertising Federation DC’s (AAFDC) ADWKDC, which Hatch is recognized as founding. For the past couple of years, AAFDC has joined forces with the Mid-Atlantic MarCom Summit to add ADWKDC as its advertising track.The summit is co-founded by Capitol Communicator and Hatch was one of the original supporters of Capitol Communicator during its formation fifteen years ago.
For more than four decades, Hatch has been a force in the DC advertising community. Her firm was recognized as an Inc. 500 firm and Blue-Chip Enterprise by the US Chamber of Commerce. Her advertising work and community engagement have earned her numerous awards and accolades, including being honored in the Washington Business Journal’s (WBJ) Power 100; in the first class of WBJ’s Women Who Mean Business; being named as the DC Chamber’s Small Businessperson of the Year in 2023; and a American Advertising Federation – DC Silver Medal honoree. She has also served as an advisor and mentor to women entrepreneurs and young advertising professionals.
