Cecelia Prewett and Kathleen Camarda on the move

Actum has hired Cecelia Prewett (pictured left) as senior managing director in its Washington office. Prewett previously served as president of D.C. Public Affairs at SKDK, where she spent nearly 13 years. She is a veteran strategic communications professional specializing in high-stakes issues management, crisis communications, litigation and brand reputation. At SKDK, she founded and led the firm’s litigation, regulation and investigation practice, which combines legal strategy with narrative influence.

Before joining SKDK, Prewett was public affairs director at the Federal Trade Commission, vice president of strategic communications at the American Association for Justice, director of media relations for AARP, and communications director for then-Rep. Rahm Emanuel of Illinois.

Kathleen Camarda (pictured right) has moved from her position as Senior Director, Global Portfolio Marketing at Marriott International to Senior Director, Hilton Honors Member Experience and Growth. Kathleen was with Marriott in various marketing positions for over seven years.

She was also formally with Choice Hotels International and various agencies including HZDG, LMO Advertising, Havas and Leo Burnetts
