Chryssa Zizos, founder and CEO of Live Wire Strategic Communications LLC, Arlington, has been named one of 37 Virginia “Wonder Women” who were winners of Virginia Business Women in Leadership Awards.
Virginia Business states that the award winners are an impressive cohort “chosen by our editors from a competitive field, with more than 320 nominations submitted this year. To qualify, nominees must be based in Virginia and hold C-suite or equivalent positions at their organizations. Deciding this year’s list, Virginia Business’ editorial staff considered factors such as overall professional accomplishments, civic engagement, mentoring and breaking glass ceilings.”
Her profile states that Zizos tells her staff “to aim to succeed or fail spectacularly — but whatever they do, don’t be average.
““Average is the kiss of death,” Zizos says. “Anyone can be average. Special people do more.”
“Twenty-five years ago, Zizos started her own media and communications firm in her Alexandria home. Since then, Live Wire Strategic Communications has grown to 10 employees representing over 100 clients, nearly half of which are Fortune 500 firms. Last year, the firm grossed about $3.65 million in revenue.”
