CNBC announced that Barron’s senior economics and policy reporter Megan Cassella is joining the business news network as a Washington, D.C., correspondent.
The announcement, states TV Newser, was made by CNBC business news svp Dan Colarusso, “who noted that in this role, Casella will be responsible for covering the intersection of business and Washington, focusing on issues such as taxes, budget, and regulatory policy. She will also report on the market and economic implications of the Biden administration’s industrial policy push heading into the election year.
“During her two years at Barron’s, Casella has published several important cover stories, including one in September laying out the anomalies in the U.S. labor market. Before Barron’s, she was a reporter for Politico covering trade, the renegotiation of NAFTA, and the Biden administration’s economic policy transition.”
