The Cyphers Agency has completed a rebranding to support the expansion of Gaithersburg restaurant Vasili’s Grill, a community staple for more than 15 years that has moved to a new Kentlands location.
As part of the move and new branding, the restaurant tweaked its name from Vasili’s Mediterranean Grill to Vasili’s Kitchen. The updated name reflects the fresh mediterranean concept wherein the restaurant’s culinary team has created a playful discourse between local ingredients and elements of Mediterranean cooking that speak to the senses.
The Cyphers team had been working with Vasili’s since August, 2016 on establishing the restaurant’s digital marketing presence, including developing content for blog posts, building social media accounts and launching an email marketing campaign.
With the move came a variety of new options on the modern Mediterranean menu, developed by a culinary team lead by renowned Chef Yiannis Lucacos. Chef Lucacos is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and the recipient of multiple awards in Greece, including six Gourmet awards and the prestigious Torques D’Or award.
“We were privileged to help enhance the Vasili’s brand as they evolved their restaurant into a new, beautiful space with a unique take on modern Mediterranean dining,” said Darren Easton, Cyphers vice president and creative director. “It was especially rewarding to see the success of their soft opening, with reservations booked solid for weeks and continuing into the new year.”
The new restaurant is located at 705 Centerpoint Way and can accommodate 200 guests in its dining room and patio area.
