The Cyphers Agency has been named agency of record for Taylor Bank, headquartered in Berlin, Md, with 10 locations on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and in Delaware. The agency will direct the bank’s entire communications program, beginning with an integrated marketing plan for the 125-year-old institution.

Cyphers was awarded the account following a competitive review that included the incumbent agency and three other firms. The scope of work includes a full marketing plan with creative, media and digital strategies, internal communications, community relations and other marketing activities focused around quarterly promotions. The new marketing plan will kick off with a spring mortgage campaign.

“We are looking forward to building upon Taylor Bank’s solid foundation as a trusted neighborhood bank and communicating the brand’s messages in new ways to reach even more customers,” said Darren Easton, agency vice president and creative director.

Raymond M. Thompson, bank president and CEO, said “We chose Cyphers because we saw that they had the creativity, strategy and edge that would help us to take our marketing to the next level, while still holding true to the core fundamentals upon which Mr. Calvin B. Taylor founded the bank.”
