The Cyphers Agency in Annapolis announced it is agency of record for the UrBurger and go brit! accounts; one is a new brand targeting Millennials with custom-made hamburgers and the other a fish-and-chip shop ready to expand nationally through franchising.
UrBurger and go brit! are the newest clients in The Cyphers Agency’s roster of restaurant, franchise and fast-casual hospitality brands.
For UrBurger, Cyphers will develop an integrated marketing program for UrBurger’s first restaurant set to open in Edgewater in May. UrBurger is owned by J. Michael Sanford, founder and former president and CEO of The Greene Turtle Restaurant Corp.
“Burger joints are popping up everywhere these days — one is even called The Burger Joint — so we were challenged to differentiate the UrBurger brand in this crowded and trendy marketplace,” said Darren Easton, agency vice president and creative director. “We began the process with research and strategy, laying the foundation for the creative that would resonate with the Millennial target audience, knowing they want both transparency and authenticity as well as fresh food and great deals.”
The scope of work for UrBurger includes naming, brand development, restaurant interior design consultation, menu design, website development, social media marketing and event marketing.
For go brit!, Cyphers will work to develop the company’s franchise offering and support their lead generation efforts as they expand from their base in Lewes, Del.
The go brit! concept was launched in 2012 by Alison Blyth, a successful restaurateur and Londoner. Blyth’s vision was to bring fish and chips to a whole new culinary level and deliver it in a fast-casual format. go brit! features bold, British décor and brings the unique angle of British comfort food to this rapidly growing restaurant segment.
Leveraging go brit!’s proven business model, Cyphers is creating franchise marketing materials, advertising, refining the franchise sales website, as well as creative, media relations and social media to promote the existing go brit! restaurants.
Richard Sharoff, executive vice president of franchising at go brit! said, “The fast-casual segment remains hot, but it is crowded with ‘me-too’ ideas. Entrepreneurs are definitely hungry for a totally fresh approach like go brit!”
