Blue Engine Message & Media + JDA Frontline announced the addition of Brendan Buck, shown above, a long-time Capitol Hill veteran who, according to a release, served in the offices of the last two Republican Speakers of the U.S. House of Representatives. Prior to joining Blue Engine + JDA, Brendan served as counselor to House Speaker Paul Ryan, leading messaging and communications strategy for the speaker and the broader House Republican leadership team. He also served as press secretary to House Speaker John Boehner and communications director at the House Ways and Means Committee. where he shepherded enactment of bipartisan Trade Promotion Authority legislation. He held several other senior communications roles on Capitol Hill, including working for now-Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, former Representative Tom Price and current Energy and Commerce Committee Ranking Member Greg Walden.

Clyde Group added two senior members: Anthony LaFauce joined as Clyde Group’s new senior vice president after having served as vice president of Porter Novelli’s digital communications group. He also teaches digital media at The American University in D.C.. Kate Greer joined as senior director. She previously worked for the British Embassy in the U.S. where she was the chief communications officer for Brexit, trade and the economy.
