by | Sep 12, 2017

Virginia-based personal brand consulting firm Firestarter announced a partnership with international sports agency, Global Sports Management. The partnership will allow Global Sports Management to provide its clients with expanded strategic personal branding, public relations, and content marketing services.  “Now more than ever athletes have to be savvy regarding their personal brand,” said Frances Reimers, Principal, Firestarter. “Building a brand that transcends social media and serves the athlete well into the future requires strategy and consistency. I am thrilled to be able to bring my expertise to the athletes that Global Sports Management represents around the world.”  The partnership will allow Global Sports Management’s athletes in more than 10 countries to have access to a full suite of personal brand creation and management services. These will include social media management, the strategic creation and deployment of creative content, reputation management, and media representation. Global Sports Management also provides athletes with insurance, financial planning and career transition, visa services, training and nutrition, as well as adaptive services.

Julia McDowell left Williams Whittle after 12 years, ending her stint as President of the agency. Her new endeavor is freelancing with the long-term goal to build a new and fresh advertising agency under the name Five Ones. She focuses on helping clients and agencies find unique and effective solutions for their advertising and marketing. She helps clients with the strategy and execution of digital programs from creative to the nitty-gritty including website development, lead generation, automation, SEO, website retargeting, paid advertising and social media. Her expertise with nonprofit marketing is deep and she continues to counsel nonprofits on media strategies, including PSA development, deployment and promotion.

Jaffe, an agency serving the legal industry, reports that Bethany Early rejoined the agency as a Vice President of Public Relations. Bethany, who initially joined Jaffe as an Account Executive in January 2015, is based in D.C. and will serve law firm and legal industry clients nationwide.
