Glen Echo Group adds three.  Andrea O’Neal joins as a director. Previously she was Senior Manager, Communications, at National Geographic Society, elevating projects and partnerships aimed at expanding scientific discoveries, educating the public on the extinction crisis and conserving some of the planet’s last wild places. Prior to joining National Geographic, O’Neal worked in Burston Cohn & Wolfe’s Public Affairs & Crisis practice. Katelin Murray and Joey Battley join as associates.

Antenna Group, based in San Francisco, launched a public affairs practice in Washington, D.C. Antenna Public Affairs will be headed by Executive Vice President Andy Beck, who has more than 25 years’ of experience spearheading public relations and public affairs campaigns for companies and organizations in the energy, transportation, finance, defense and technology sectors.

The MarCom Awards announced Avid Core, Woodbridge, VA, as a 2021 Platinum winner, the highest honor in the international creative competition for marketing and communication professionals. Avid Core was recognized for the Community Engagement Strategy it created for PlanRVA, a regional convener, planning agency and provider of essential services to the localities of the Richmond Region.
