Glen Echo Group added Ashley Durkin-Rixey and Kieran Henstenburg. Durkin-Rixey joins the Glen Echo Group as a senior director. She was most recently a Director of Communications at ACT | The App Association where she led media relations and communications strategy on U.S. policy issues impacting the small businesses of the app economy. Curley Company hired Justin Siraj as a Director. Siraj served as Events and Communications Manager at Samsung, overseeing DC-centric communications, and thought leadership efforts. Prior to that, he was the Event Communications Manager for the Consumer Technology Association, planning and overseeing more than 15 global events.
Concepts Communications was awarded a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to support the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Disability Employment Policy in planning and executing multiple current and future strategic outreach initiatives. Specific contracts in the BPA include four initiatives that Concepts Communications has managed for a number of years including Strategic Communications and Outreach for the agency, the Campaign for Disability Employment, ePolicyWorks and the State Exchange on Employment & Disability. Through these initiatives, Concepts Communications has produced award-winning multi-media and print materials addressing a wide range of ODEP’s policy priorities, and for the latter, it brings to the agency partnerships with sixteen intermediary organizations representing state and local policymakers.
