Two former Qorvis Communications execs – Elissa Dodge, left in photo, and Philippa Levenberg, right in photo – have launched Sable Strategy, billed as an exclusively senior-level strategic communications firm led entirely by women executives. Dodge, former Chief Client Officer at Qorvis, and Levenberg, former head of digital at Qorvis, co-founded Sable Strategies “to be an exclusively senior-level strategic communications firm to bring clients the ultimate team of deeply-experienced collaborators that can personally execute and deliver on public affairs campaigns, crisis management, media training, creative design, paid digital strategy, and more.” According to Dodge, she and Levenberg “chose the name because Sables are unique animals that travel in female-led herds where they reach and maintain high speeds for long distances, displaying the stamina and nimbleness to outlast their predators. The name and brand identity reflects our approach and values, as well as the caliber of extremely talented media relations experts and trainers, digital strategists, creative directors, advertising executives, producers and writers who make up “the herd” (our team).”
Firestarter announced a formal partnership with Pittsburgh-based sponsorship sales and consulting agency CohnCollab.
