D.C. Updates: MissionSide and LGND Announce Acquisitions and Seven Letter Adds Three

by | Jul 31, 2019

D.C.-based MissionSide completed its acquisition of D.C.-based digital agency Blue Water which, states a release, brings together “a suite of unparalleled strategic customer experience capabilities designed to build and operate transformative user touchpoints for their public and private sector clients.” Adam Slagowski, President and CEO of the combined companies, explained the rationale behind the merger stating, “MissionSide’s acquisition of Blue Water combines a breadth of strategic customer experience planning, optimization, and operations capabilities that were previously available only from the large integrators. Our capabilities are enabled by decreasing implementation costs of mature cloud-based supporting technologies and will make the promise of a truly transformative customer experience a reality for our public and private sector clients.”

LGND acquired long-time video partner, Stellar, a video production house led by Hadi Dimachkieh and Patrick Hunt.

Seven Letter added David Knaus, Justin Krakoff and Alfonso Hidalgo. These are new positions following last year’s merger of Blue Engine Message and Media with JDA Frontline to form Seven Letter. Knaus joins with nearly a decade of political and corporate experience, most recently working as a senior campaign aide to former Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner and prior to that with Luntz Global in Denver. Krakoff is a former digital organizer for Rep. Susie Lee’s 2018 campaign and participated in Blue Engine’s fellowship program. Hidalgo joins after completing the Blue Engine + JDA fellowship program and interning at the New England Council.
