BrandLinkDC, a communications agency based in D.C., has become The Brand Guild According to a release, the new name reflects its agency’s during the past nine years as a nationally recognized public relations, events and marketing agency, and adds to its resumé a full-service creative department and an NYC-based team. Co-founders Jayne Sandman, right in photo, and Barbara Martin, left in photo, started the company in 2010 and it now has  four departments —public relations, marketing, events and creative —  and, during the past year, added more than 15 new team members.

Grace Fenstermaker, Senior Account Supervisor, and Shannon Quinn, Senior Account Executive, of D.C.-based Qorvis Communications were honored with the PR Rising Star 30 & Under Award on December 4 at the National Press Club in D.C.  Fenstermaker and Quinn were recognized for outstanding achievement and contributions to innovation in communications over the past year. The PR People Awards are sponsored by PR News and the award ceremony brings together more than 300 communications professionals to celebrate the accomplishments of individuals who have demonstrated excellence and a passion for advancing the communications field.

DirectMail.com, a full-service omni-channel and direct response engagement agency, in Prince Frederick, Md, announced new leadership following the retirement of long-time CEO and partner Kirk Swain. In accordance with the company’s succession plan, agency partner and second-generation owner Robert (Bob) Salta is assuming the roles of chief executive officer and chief creative officer. Shawn Salta, third-generation owner, has been appointed president and chief operating officer, and Chris Zarnosky is the new executive vice president.
