D.C.-Area Updates: The Reis Group, Susan Davis International and WBA

by | May 21, 2019

The Reis Group has been hired by the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh (JCC) to lead communications efforts for the launch of a “resiliency center” to address individual and community needs in response to the 2018 mass shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue.

“This is a very important project for our community, so we needed an exceptional communications agency at our side to help us turn this vision into a reality,” said Jason Kunzman, the JCC’s Chief Program Officer. “The Reis Group impressed us with their thoughtful and dynamic proposal. They have deep expertise in creating and launching new initiatives and demonstrated a clear understanding of how best to support the evolving needs of our community in these most challenging times.”

The JCC is helping to lead the Pittsburgh community’s response to the tragic event in partnership with the Tree of Life or L’Simcha Congregation, Congregation Dor Hadash, New Light Congregation, Center for Victims, the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, Jewish Family and Community Services, the City of Pittsburgh, and the United States Attorney’s Office of Western Pennsylvania.

Susan Davis International (SDI) added Sean O’Leary as a Vice President.  O’Leary joined SDI after serving as Director for the Merritt Group, leading a practice for technology companies focused on working with federal, state and local governments, as well as the Department of Defense. Previous communications roles for O’Leary included spokesperson and communications director for the Newspaper Association of America and global communications manager for Metalogix Software.

WBA moved to 4200 Parliament Place, Suite 200, Lanham, MD 20706.
