Williams Whittle agency has been awarded a year-long “Brand Evolution” assignment from the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), a part of the World Health Organization. The task, stated a release “is to help PAHO find its best, most resonant voice to be directed at its thirty-five member countries with the goal of raising PAHO’s profile in the Americas”. In addition, the Alexandria, Va-based agency launched a national television PSA campaign for American Corporate Partners, a national nonprofit focused on helping returning veterans find their next careers. The PSAs feature Bill Clinton, Jon Stewart and David Petraeus.
Airlines for America (A4A), the industry trade organization for the leading U.S. airlines, announced two additions to its communications team. A4A named Kathy Grannis Allen to the role of Managing Director, Airline Industry Public Relations and Communications. Allen joins A4A from the National Retail Federation, having most recently served as senior director, media relations. A4A also added Nicole Soufi as Manager, Social Media. Soufi joins A4A from Westat, where she served as a digital and social media associate.
Los Angeles-based health and wellness company HealthWell PR has opened a D.C.-area office. The East Coast office will be led by HealthWell vice president K. Pearson Brown, a D.C.-area native who relocated from Los Angeles.
