The Carlyle Group, a D.C.-based global investment firm, announced that Leigh Farris is joining as Managing Director, Global Head of Corporate Communications.
According to a Carlyle Group release, she will lead the team “responsible for Carlyle’s global communications strategy, including corporate branding, media relations, issues management and employee and executive communications. As a member of the management committee, she will work closely with senior leadership on all aspects of the firm’s business. Leigh will begin her role later this spring.”
Farris joins from Goldman Sachs where she most recently served as Managing Director, CEO Communications. She also led communications for the firm’s impact investing platform, including the Goldman Sachs Foundation and Urban Investment Group. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, she held communications roles at GE and CBS News.
She will be splitting her time between the firm’s D.C. and NYC offices.
