London-based Media iQ is opening a D.C. office, Melissa Kurstin, Media iQ’s mid-Atlantic and southeast director of sales, tells DC Inno. The likely location for that office is either Dupont Circle or Farragut North and it will employ roughly 10 people by end of year. At the moment, the D.C. team stands at five and works from home. The firm, added DC Inno, analyzes huge volumes of realtime macro and micro data—everything from weather patterns, social media audiences, local events, public market activity and geopolitical conditions to gas prices—so as to build creative and targeted marketing campaigns for clients. By digesting all this information, Tweets, emails and other forms of customer outreach can be more contextual and sensitive to realtime conditions.
