D.C. Updates: The Washington Post, Qorvis and Boscobel Marketing Communications

Miki King has been promoted Chief Marketing Officer of The Washington Post.  King, pictured above, joined The Post in 2016 as vice president of operations.  As CEO, she will oversee the subscription acquisition, retention as well as enterprise subscription packages to universities, large companies and non-profit organizations. She’ll also lead the team that is developing The Post’s national marketing campaigns.  Previously, she was one of the architects of Politico’s digital subscription business, Politico Pro.
Helmets to Hardhats (H2H) is the latest client signed by Qorvis Communications. The public affairs firm developed a Veterans Day-focused communications campaign on behalf of H2H to raise awareness in the Armed Forces community of the career opportunities available to individuals who have served.  In addition, Qorvis announced that Kara Hauck has joined the firm as a vice president of public affairs.  Hauck comes from Capitol Hill, where she most recently served as communications director for the House Republican Conference and its chair, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA).
Boscobel Marketing Communications has been recognized by the Maryland Department of Commerce and Montgomery County government for 40 years of operations in Silver Spring, Md. Boscobel CEO and President Joyce Bosc, a lifetime resident of Montgomery County, founded Boscobel in 1978. According to a release, one of Boscobel’s earliest highlights was the development of the brand, logo and commercial launch of America Online (AOL). Boscobel has since transitioned to serve the federal government industry, focusing on technology marketing to the government contracting community.
