David Gorodetski, co-founder, chief operating officer and executive creative director, Sage Communications LLC, has been profiled in the Washington Business Journal. According to WBJ profile, Gorodetski was running Ogilvy PR’s global practice on Sept. 11, 2001, and he “remembers the terrorist attacks making him feel “as if there were greater things to do,” he said. A former colleague asked him if he would be crazy enough to start his own agency and, soon, five people were working out of Gorodetski’s house in McLean.
“Nearly 16 years later, Sage Communications is an agency with a national presence, with advertising, public relations, marketing and digital interactive services. It has worked with clients ranging from Amazon Web Services and Science Applications International Corp. to the Smithsonian and the General Services Administration to the National Cherry Blossom Festival and Halcyon. And Gorodetski — originally from Haifa, Israel — continues to lead the company to new heights.”
