iHeartMedia Washington, D.C. named James Robinson vice president of sales. Robinson, stated a release, will work closely with the programming and operations teams from iHeartMedia Washington, D.C.’s five radio station brands to create effective sales campaigns for partners and clients. Robinson is a 17-year media veteran who previously served as the general sales manager for iHeartMedia St. Louis. He has also led radio sales teams in New Orleans, LA; Atlanta, GA; Memphis, TN; and Columbus, OH.
Earth Networks, based in Germantown, Md, named Anuj Agrawal its chief marketing officer. In this role, Agrawal will be responsible for worldwide strategic marketing for the Earth Networks and WeatherBug brands, including corporate marketing, product marketing and demand generation. Agrawal most recently served as VP/marketing at Orchestro, a venture-backed software-as-a-service analytics provider that was recently acquired – where he drove demand generation, product positioning, marketing intelligence and go-to-market strategy. Prior to Orchestro, Agrawal led marketing solution development at IXI Services, a provider of consumer and marketing insights to Fortune 1000 firms. IXI was acquired by data services leader Equifax, Inc. Prior to IXI, Anuj held various technology product and marketing roles at companies such as Intel and Virgin Mobile USA.
