Crisis management expert, consultant and author Edward Segal has been brought on by Forbes.com as a Leadership Strategy contributor to write a blog about crisis management and crisis communication-related news, issues and topics.
Segal, who is based in D.C., told Capitol Communicator that his advice and observations in his frequent blog posts will be based on his experience dealing with crisis situations as CEO of two trade associations and counseling clients on how to respond to and manage a variety of crises. He is the author of the recently published book on crisis management strategies, tactics and techniques: Crisis Ahead — 101 Ways to Prepare for and Bounce Back from Disasters, Scandals, and Other Emergencies (Nicholas Brealey). In July, it was rated by BookAuthority.org as the #1 best new book on crisis management to read in 2020 and was recently named one of the best crisis management books of all time by the same website.
