Eli Meir Kaplan Stills + Motion has been honored with a Gold 2024 w3 Award in the Branded Entertainment-Commercials category for the :30-second spot, Closer Shave and Closer Bonds, created for Burke Avenue by Craig the Barber®. The award-winning commercial tells the story of a son who wants to help his father but receives a surprising answer. The commercial brings this touching exchange to life, reinforcing the brand’s message of tradition, care and quality grooming.
“This story resonated with me because of the interaction I have with my own daughters. Sometimes it can be hard to make time for them in our busy lives and this spot brings home how important it is to be open to those moments,” says photographer/director Eli Meir Kaplan, who was surprised by the win. “When I received the email with the award announcement I thought it was a very convincing spam email.”
