Eli Meir Kaplan is a commercial photographer and director who became interested in visual media after his parents brought home an early black and white video camera when he was four years-old. Eli’s first of many videos on the camera was a stop-motion battle between He-Man and Skeletor. A Batman and Robin caper soon followed.
Eli’s longstanding interest in visual storytelling and meeting people from different backgrounds led him to documentary photography. He draws from that experience to capture genuine, aspirational, and intimate moments in the commercial photography and video production he does today. Eli lives in Washington, DC with his wife and two daughters, is an APA DC board member, and has been told that he’s fun to work with.
