Following a visit to Capitol Hill by Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, the company announced in a blog post that it has suspended “thousands of apps” that may have improperly used users’ private data, echoing the Cambridge Analytica scandal. The social media giant, which has been under increasing scrutiny by lawmakers, said only that the breaches were caused by a “a variety of reasons.” The suspension is the result of investigating millions of apps, the announcement said.  Read more here.
