Fox Launches Podcast Supported by Advertisers, Not Paying Subscribers

by | Jun 20, 2017

The Five is the first Fox News program to launch a free podcast, supported by advertisers, not paying subscribers, reports Adweek, which added:

“It’s pulling this off thanks to a new partnership with TargetSpot, an advanced digital audio ad platform that connects top national brands as well as local and regional advertisers.

““With the growing popularity of podcasts, it’s only natural we’d expand our digital platform and allow listeners free unlimited access to premium content,” Fox News radio vp and gm Doug Murphy tells TVNewser. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with TargetSpot and connecting top advertisers with one of Fox News’s highest-rated programs The Five in audio podcast form.”

“All of the other Fox News program podcasts are currently behind paywalls.”
