The Mid-Atlantic Marketing Summit on Friday, April 21, will feature two keynotes and multiple tracks including nine presentations, five panels and five Do It Yourself work sessions. The DIY sessions that will be offered are:

Getting Your Brand Started on Snapchat: A Step-By-Step Approach: Presented by Tien Wong, this session will give a step-by-step approach to getting your brand started on Snapchat. This session is aimed at giving marketers a to-do list to start their brand on Snapchat. It will be ideal for marketers who have little background or experience with Snapchat.

YouTube Tips, Tricks, and Hacks: Video Marketing How-To’s From the Viral Toolkit: Presented by Jon Barnes, this hands-on session will help brands and marketers more effectively use YouTube for community building, viral content, search results, and increased engagement. Jon Barnes, a self-admitted “YouTube celebrihack” will bring his “studio-in-a-bag” kit to show attendees exactly how he creates content for his robust YouTube channel. A decade ago, Barnes launched his YouTube channel, originally just for hosting a few videos for free, not yet realizing how YouTube would evolve over time to become the ultimate platform for viral content and community building- both for personal and professional contexts. Now, hundreds of videos later, his channel has exploded into a robust content hub, developing a global audience, becoming a YouTube partner, monetizing videos, and creating a community around his core subject matter (cars, art, how-to’s, weird stuff). Jon will share his wins, fails, and memorable moments as a YouTube celebrity and give practical insights on how brands and marketers can dream, plan, and win at the game of YouTube.

Taking Your LinkedIn Presence to the Next Level: Dan Horowitz will walk you through how to build a LinkedIn profile that stands out. Plus, get an update on LinkedIn’s targeting and measurement roadmap, along with highlights from a few recent campaigns so you can the best of what’s working on the platform today.

Facebook Live: How to Get Started (And Grow An Audience): Shane Greer will walk attendees through the process of getting started on Facebook Live — from beginning to end. Shane’s company, Campaigns & Elections has developed a niche following on Facebook Live in less than a year. Greer will share the lessons he’s learned over the last year through trial and error on Facebook Live and provide take-aways to marketers to start (and grow) their Facebook Live presence.

Retargeting: How To Set Up Your First Campaign: Josh Greene will walk attendees through the process of setting up their first retargeting campaign. We’ll show you how to set up a retargeting campaign in both Google and Facebook, and the tools that make it easier. You will leave with instructions and resources so that you can be up and running that day.
