The Washington Post named Gitesh Gohel as Head of Product & Design.
According to The Post, it quickly became apparent that Gohel “was someone already familiar to The Post (and) some of you may know Gitesh through his work here as a contractor over the past couple of months. As we learned more about his range and experience, he immediately emerged as the natural choice to lead Product & Design. Paired with his proven commitment to mentor and coach in the industry, Gitesh’s leadership will be critical in building The Post to become an essential daily reader habit.
“Gitesh will lead the strategic direction, development and design of The Post’s digital products as an integral player in our reimagined efforts between News, Product and Engineering to create, collaborate and build news products of the future.”
Gohel joins The Post with extensive experience leading product and design teams: He most recently served as Vice President of Product at SpeakEasy AI, creating the company’s community centric AI-native conversation and moderation products. Prior to SpeakEasy, he helped lead CNN’s CNN+ launch efforts as its Senior Direct of Product Initiative.
