GKV launches Candy Shop Cocoa; News from Baltimore Public Media and Centrus Energy
GKV in Baltimore announced a collaboration with Iowa-based KENT Precision Foods Group, part of KENT Corporation, as the agency of record for the launch of Candy Shop™ Cocoa, promoted as “a collection of sippable treats that capture the iconic tastes of Hershey’s timeless candy classics.” According to GKV, The Candy Shop™ Cocoa line hit shelves in September featuring four candy-inspired varieties, including HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate, REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup, YORK Peppermint Pattie, and HERSHEY’S COOKIES ‘N’ CREME, with plans already underway to introduce a new ALMOND JOY flavor by Summer 2025. Made with HERSHEY’S Cocoa and real milk, these drinkable treats can be enjoyed hot, iced or even frozen, offering consumers a unique way to experience their favorite candy.
Baltimore Public Media announced leadership and organizational updates, including the promotion of Maricka Oglesby to chief of staff and director of board relations, where she will lead efforts to align organizational priorities, foster strategic partnerships, and drive growth. Baltimore Public Media operates NPR News Station WYPR 88.1 FM, music discovery platform WTMD 89.7 FM, and Your Public Studios, which produces local podcasts for the Baltimore region. She previously served as director of the Women’s Leadership Institute of Baltimore; special assistant to the CEO at Thread, and executive producer of the WOW Festival.
Also from Baltimore Public Media and WYPR 88.1 FM, Taylor Holbrooks joins as the new “Morning Edition” host. Holbrooks began her career in broadcasting during college, where she honed her skills in hosting and producing live radio programs. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in media and journalism from the University of North Carolina, establishing a strong foundation in impactful reporting and community engagement. Most recently, Holbrooks served as a reporter and on-air host at NPR member station Public Radio East in eastern North Carolina.
Bethesda-based Centrus Energy, a supplier of nuclear fuel and services for the nuclear power industry, has appointed Neal Nagarajan as senior vice president and head of investor relations. He joins Centrus from Sloane & Company, where he served as Senior Vice President of Investor Relations and Special Situations. Previously, Nagarajan held leadership roles at Sard Verbinnen & Company (now known as FGS Global), where he led investor relations programs. Prior to joining Sard Verbinnen, Nagarajan was an M&A investment banker at a leading boutique firm, according to a release.
