The Hatcher Group, with offices in Annapolis and Bethesda, announced the company’s rebranding in celebration of its 20th anniversary. “Twenty years helping our clients drive change has inspired us to make a change of our own,” said Amy Buckley, partner at The Hatcher Group. “The firm has experienced incredible growth and change, and it was time to reflect that progress in our brand. Coinciding with the firm’s 20th anniversary and unveiling the new brand, Hatcher announced another round of industry awards. Hatcher won three platinum and four gold dotCOMM awards. The Hatcher Group’s winning submissions include strategic communications, digital marketing, and social media campaigns. Campaigns for Maryland 529, Baltimore Votes Coalition, America’s Promise Alliance, 100,000 Opportunity Youth (now the Hire Opportunity Coalition), Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, and the Smart on Pesticides Coalition earned top awards

Devaney & Associates in Owings Mills was named a Silver Award Winner in the 2020 Davey Awards for its creative collaboration on the Carroll Hospital “Better Together” wall. The annual International Davey Awards honor the achievements of small, creative companies who thrive off big ideas, rather than unlimited budgets. In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the hospital’s leadership team reached out to D&A to create a display showing their appreciation for their overworked staff who had put their lives at risk to care bravely for the hospital’s patients and provide a positive outlet that would showcase the hospital’s unity and strength.
Sinclair Broadcast Group in Hunt Valley announced that John Zeigler will join the company as Chief Marketing Officer. In this newly created role, Zeigler will initially focus on the development and execution of comprehensive brand marketing strategy for all of Sinclair affiliate stations and 21 Regional Sports Networks. He will also assume responsibility for Sinclair’s Promotions, Creative Services and Marketing departments. The announcement was made by Rob Weisbord, president of broadcast and chief revenue officer of Sinclair.
Most recently, Zeigler was Vice President for the YES Network where he established an in-house creative and marketing agency named YES Creative Group that oversaw on-air branding, digital marketing and strategic initiatives.
