Capitol Communicator sponsor idfive is among the Maryland communications firms recognized as among the 5,000 fastest growing companies in the country, according to Inc. magazine’s 2016 list. The Inc. 5,000 list ranks privately-owned businesses based on the past three year’s revenue growth. idfive took the #34 spot among Baltimore businesses and the #64 spot among Maryland businesses.

“Before our last few years of growth we spent several years laying the groundwork for a successful company,” said Andres Zapata, idfive’s EVP of strategy and a co-founder. “But the real credit goes to our team and our clients. Without either we wouldn’t be where we are today. It’s an honor to make the Inc. 5,000 list.”

Following are the national rankings of the Maryland communications companies, along with their categories and three-year growth numbers:

Social Toaster (No. 828), advertising and social media marketing, Baltimore, 3-year growth: 480%

“The Inc. 5000 list stands out where it really counts,” said Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg in a release. “It honors real achievement by a founder or a team of them. No one makes the Inc. 5000 without building something great—usually from scratch. That’s one of the hardest things to do in business, as every company founder knows. But without it, free enterprise fails.”
