Following a two-year string of double-digit growth, imre announced it will open a Philadelphia office in February. The PR and marketing communications agency now has 160 employees in offices in New York, Baltimore and Los Angeles.

Capitol Communicator spoke with Jeff Smokler, president & partner of imre Health, who said the motives for opening the office on Walnut Street are two-fold: “Philly is the home to top-tier social and digital marketers, especially in the pharma space, and we will be closer to some of the clients we serve like AstraZeneca and Pfizer.”

imre currently works with clients across pharmaceuticals, automotive, equipment and textiles, wellness, and sports including INFINITI, Airstream, 3M’s Meguiar’s, Dickies, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, T. Rowe Price, Under Armour, and STIHL; among many more.

Smokler, in photo, said imre named Emmie Taylor, account director, as the new Director of the Philadelphia office.

The company, founded by CEO Dave Imre, also hired eight new Philadelphia-based marketers, who will be joined by about five transfers from other offices to make 13-15 when the office officially opens in February 2020. Additional hires are expected.

“We want to make sure people who knew us as honest, fearless, imaginative people when we had three offices across the country feel the same way when we add the exceptional talent we’ve already come to meet in Philly,” Dave Imre said.
