by | Jul 23, 2020

In need of pro-bono communications or marketing support for your social impact organization, then submit an application to work with Georgetown University by July 28.

According to Georgetown University, this is what you need to know about the application process:

  • Communication: We are unable to respond to emails or calls about the status of applications. Thank you for understanding!
  • Selection Process: Faculty or a masters-level student will reach out directly to you if they believe your project is a mutual fit with course work to discuss a potential collaboration. The opportunity is intended to be a learning process in addition to providing service. While we wish we could work with everyone, applying does not guarantee selection.
  • Time-Line: Your application will be active for one calendar year and will be under consideration for that entire time. Even if you haven’t heard anything in several months, your application is still live! If you’ve applied in the past, you’re welcome to apply again.
  • Location: While we welcome all social impact organizations, we especially seek organizations based in the greater Washington, D.C. Engagements in Fall 2020 will be virtual Types of Services Offered: All services must be related to communications and marketing needs. That category is intentionally broad, but does not include website work. An engagement may range from a one-hour phone consultation to a full 15-week project, dependent on course work.
  • Application Tips: Be honest in your needs but also consider being flexible in the type of service you’re willing to receive. Submit only one application. Also, upload a photo!
