In the Region: Updates from R2i, Markstein and Carvertise

Baltimore-based digital marketing agency R2integrated (R2i) said it has strengthened its account services offering by hiring Catherine Young as its vice president of strategy and account services, and Jaime Falquez and Amanda Wood as group account directors. Young previously worked at Merkle, Falquez at Infosys and Wood at Wunderman WPP.

Markstein, an independent, integrated communications agency, announced that Jack Deschauer, a seasoned crisis communications and corporate affairs executive, has joined its Washington, D.C., office as strategic consultant. Deschauer joins from LEVICK, where he spent seven years as a senior vice president, co-managing the corporate affairs practice and leading crisis teams.

Mobile advertising company Carvertise has expanded into Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia. The company is based in Wilmington, DE. The advertising company pays everyday car drivers to drive around with ads and brand messages on their vehicles. Carvertise decided to expand to the District after success in the Mid-Atlantic and demand from clients.
