WWPR Seeks Nominees for 2016 Emerging Leaders Awards

Washington Women in Public Relations is looking for nominees for its 2016 Emerging Leaders Awards.  The award, states WWPR, is “a special accolade for young women active within the communications field who have made a significant impact on the industry.”

Nominee qualifications:

  • Nominees must be female professionals in the D.C. area between the ages of 23-30 as of June 1, 2016;
  • Nominees must be local to the D.C. area for a minimum of two years by June 1, 2016;
  • Nominees must work in one of the following disciplines: digital strategy, media relations, crisis communications, event planning, social media, website communications, strategic communications, community relations, internal communications, speech writing, public affairs, marketing communications, government communications, internal communications, investor relations communications, consumer/lifestyle communications, branding and writing/editing or other applicable disciplines related to communications; and,
  • Nominees must have demonstrated leadership experience and contributions to their field post-college.

Nominations close on April 11, at 5:00 p.m. Nominees must be able to attend the Emerging Leaders Awards event on June 21 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
