RP3, the independent, full-service creative marketing agency, announced the addition of three new senior-level executives to help lead the agency into its next level of growth and award-winning success.
The agency announced that Alix Bortnick has been named Head of Business Development; Brendan O’Brien was named Associate Creative Director, Copywriter; and Maryam St. Antoine was appointed Account Director.
“After two years dealing with the pandemic and its consequences, RP3 is more than ready to step up our efforts in contributing to the dynamic and invigorating advertising and marketing scene in the D.C. metro area,” said RP3 Founder-CEO Beth Johnson. “Adding Alix, Brendan and Maryam to our team provides the kind of energetic, creative boost we need to push our agency ahead and reach the goals we’ve set for ourselves in this new, post-Covid era.”
Bortnick will wear many hats in her new role with RP3. In addition to overseeing new business efforts, she will serve as the agency’s strategic lead for agency marketing. She also will be responsible for driving growth, cultivating talent, facilitating inter-office collaboration, and nurturing client relationships. Bortnick comes to RP3 from integrated creative agency HZ, where she served in several capacities over the past decade, most recently as Business Development Director. In that role, she led HZ’s business development and strategic initiatives to drive agency growth and developed strategic relationships throughout WPP and HZ’s parent organization, BCW Group. During her career Bortnick as worked with clients including Frito-Lay, Dollar General, Maryland Marketing Partnerships, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and others.
Brendan joins RP3 as Associate Creative Director, Copywriter, from his role as Associate Creative Director at Small Army, a Boston-based ad agency that is part of FINN Partners Company. In his role at RP3, the accounts O’Brien will oversee include Norfolk Southern, Eagle Bank, University of Maryland and Long & Foster. As a filmmaker turned agency-creative, O’Brien brings a passion for visual storytelling and an array of experience with clients including IBM, Fidelity, Puma, Athenahealth, and Code42. A native New Englander, O’Brien also held a series of creative roles earlier in his career at Cramer, a Boston-based marketing services agency. He’s a graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
MARYAM ST. ANTOINE
Maryam is an Account Director at RP3 overseeing the Long & Foster and University of Maryland accounts. With more than 20 years of account service experience at leading creative agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Ketchum Advertising, Foote Cone & Belding, as well as The Walt Disney Company, St. Antoine is known for her expertise in building client relationships, business development, brand strategy, and project management. Her blue-chip client portfolio includes Disney Theme Parks, Pabst Brewing, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Toyota, Acura, Nintendo, Nike, Universal Studios Home Entertainment, and Unilever. Born in Tehran, Iran, Maryam is fluent in Farsi (written and verbal) and dedicates her free time as a volunteer interpreter for Afghan refugees.
