ICF Next, ICF’s integrated marketing and communications services group, hired Jeff “Cap” Caporizzo as the executive creative director focused on government clients.
In this role, Caporizzo will lead ICF Next’s team of storytellers, artists and digital media experts as they support U.S. federal and other public sector clients to design and execute creative work that drives sustained behavior change.
Caporizzo brings over three decades of industry experience to ICF Next. Most recently, he was executive creative director for Edelman’s Washington, D.C., office, where he led efforts to integrate traditional and digital creative teams to help clients tell single, unified cross-channel stories. His client experience includes leading federal agencies such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Health Resources and Services Administration; public health advocacy organizations like the American Heart Association; and leading brands including Trader Joe’s, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Aramark. He also served as vice president/creative director within Ogilvy’s Washington D.C. office. Industry accolades for his work include Thoth, ADDY and SABRE awards.
“Jeff is an industry leader in creative strategy and planning, creative management, marketing, advertising, print and digital design, and social-content development,” said Mary Schwarz, managing partner for ICF Next’s government group. “His formula is simple: Know who you are talking to, inspire them and constantly optimize in the face of new information.”
The government-focused ICF Next team Caporizzo joins provides a full suite of marketing and communications services to U.S. government agencies. Working with clients such as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, CDC, the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, and state and local agencies, ICF Next runs data-driven communications and campaigns to inform and inspire audiences to take action around some of the nation’s most pressing policy issues: tobacco prevention and control, cancer prevention, opioid misuse, adult immunization, underage drinking, HIV/AIDS and diabetes, to name a few.
Caporizzo has been a speaker at leading industry groups and educational institutions, including the American Marketing Association, Washington Network Group, University of Maryland Robert E. Smith School of Business, DC Ad Club and Georgetown University. He is a member of the Wilkins Ave Artists Co-Op in Rockville, Maryland.
