Jeff Joseph, president of Software & Information Industry Association, joins BCW as D.C. President

Jeff Joseph is joining Burson Cohn & Wolfe (BCW) as its D.C. President, effective August 8.

According to the agency, Joseph “is a world-class strategist, with nearly 30 years in Washington and considerable experience across every aspect of strategic communications, with a distinguished track record representing businesses across a wide variety of industries.

“Jeff has spent time at several industry associations in the technology space – most recently as president of the Software & Information Industry Association – and significant time with Ogilvy. He is also deeply committed to building diverse, representative teams and leading an environment in which talent can thrive. I am incredibly excited about what he will bring to our D.C. business and to all of you.”

In addition, at the end of this month, Michael Fleischer will be leaving BCW to, states the agency, “take on his next career challenge. Michael has been with our organization for a decade, having joined Direct Impact in 2012. During his time with us, he has served as a client leader, President of Direct Impact and subsequently President of our Washington, D.C. market. He has also led some of our largest integrated clients in complex sectors through challenging business decisions and consistently championed our people and BCW as a firm. As you all know well, Michael has been a voice of strategic guidance and sound advice, and he will be missed by all of us at BCW.”

In another agency departure, Terry Neal, previously an Executive Vice President and Managing Director in the Corporate Affairs Practice at BCW, has joined ID.me.
