Jellyfish Wins SEM Agency of the Year at Landy Awards; Hendrick Automotive Media Account Moves to MGH

Jellyfish US, based in Baltimore, was named SEM Agency of the Year at the Search Engine Land “Landy Awards,” recognizing individuals, agencies and internal marketing teams who have demonstrated excellence in executing organic and paid search marketing initiatives.

“This award is directly attributable to the success of our Paid Search department, a team of 26 incredibly talented individuals who includes Global Head of Paid Media, Daniel Wilkinson, and directors Allie Vadas and Jai Amin,” Kevin Buerger, executive vice president and managing director, US, said in a press release.

Three agencies picked up multiple awards, according to Search Engine Land: iProspect won SEO Agency Of The Year and also took home a trophy in the Best B2B SEM Initiative – Enterprise category. It’s the second straight year that iProspect has won multiple Landys.

Razorfish picked up wins in both the Best Mobile SEM Initiative and Best Retail SEM Initiative categories. Wolfgang Digital, a Dublin, Ireland-based digital agency, picked up its first Landys in the Best SEM Initiative – Small Business and Best Cross-Channel Integration of Search categories.

The highly coveted final award of the night, Best Overall Search Marketing Initiative, went to Edelman.

Owings Mills-based MGH has been appointed the media buying agency of record for Hendrick Automotive Group. MGH was selected after a competitive request for proposal process in a search to consolidate media planning and buying services for all of Hendrick’s dealerships.

Hendrick Automotive Group is the largest privately-held automotive retail organization in the United States, with 102 dealerships in 14 states (Alabama, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia).

In 2015, Hendrick Automotive Group sold more than 198,000 vehicles and generated $8.4 billion in revenue.
