After a three-year tenure as Director of Advertising and Promotions at ABC Radio (WRQX) followed by a 20-year run at ABC 7 / WJLA-TV, where he collaborated on many award-winning campaigns for a diverse roster of station clients, John Quinn has launched Quinntessential Media. With its strategic partners, Executive Media Communications (EMC), and Thundershot Studios, Quinntessential Media, has over 100 years of experience delivering results for a diverse roster of B2B, B2G, G2G and non-profit clients. According to Quinn; “We live and breathe media by crafting fresh and compelling messages then delivering them traditionally and programmatically across Radio, Television, Print and Digital Media platforms anywhere in the United States.”

As a result, of Quinn’s work at WJLA, he was chosen by PROMAX International and Television Week Magazine garnering one of the industry’s first Marketing Mavericks for his collaboration within the international community. He has received numerous accolades for both radio and television including: Top Special Program Billboard Magazine, 2 additional PROMAX Gold Awards for Most Innovative Radio Promotion; Outstanding Consumer Television Promotion; 2 Capital Region Emmy nominations; 5 International Telly Awards for video production; and a Public Relations Award from the National Association of Black Journalists, St. Louis.
