Maggie Winters of This January, a D.C.-based agency, was recognized in the Washington Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 class of 2025. (Winter also has been included in Inc’s 30 Under 30 Rising Stars.)
Winters, co-founder of This January, a creative agency, describes herself as “an entrepreneur, creative director, and human exclamation point.”
On LinkedIn, she wrote: “Five years ago, This January was born.
“Zach Goodwin and I promised ourselves it was just a little experiment…and swore not to get our hopes up.
“But today, somehow, it’s really, really working. Our team is filled with 20 of the smartest people I know, doing incredible work together, with creative opportunity around every corner.”
According to WBJ: “The annual signature award program draws hundreds of applications and honors leading young executives behind some of the region’s top dollars, deals, people and places. The diverse group was carefully selected by the Business Journal newsroom and includes honorees from the commercial real estate, banking, tech, nonprofit, hospitality, professional services, local government and health care sectors.
“The newsroom evaluated nominations based on the candidate’s contributions to their organizations and communities and for their “newsmaker” status — those who have already made our headlines — or who we expect to be part of our ongoing local business coverage in the months and years to come.”
The class of 2025 will be honored on Feb. 20 at SPIN Washington D.C.
