PR/Comms Maven Danny Selnick Hosts Magi-Whirl 2018, An Evening of Magic & Illusion, May 5, in Alexandria

by | Mar 21, 2018

Some of the greatest magicians will be performing in Alexandria, Va, May 5, at Magi-Whirl 2018. According to the event’s organizer, Danny Selnick, senior vice president at Business Wire and an accomplished magician, pictured above, the event will also feature “a comedy magic troupe that will have you in stitches and a children’s magician who will have youngsters amazed.”

(Selnick is shown in his “secret magic room” – obviously no longer a secret – holding  his recently awarded Sabar Award — given to only 12 International Brotherhood of Magicians, Ring 50 members over its 70-year history.  Ring 50 is the local chapter of an international magic club.  Selnick was president of Ring 50 for three years, vice president, and is still a board member of  the club which has some 80 members in the Washington, D.C. region.)

Selnick added that one of the featured performers at Magi-Whirl 2018 is Krystyn Lambert, “a young woman magician from LA who starred on Masters of Illusion and will perform the impossible.”  In addition, before the show, there will be strolling magicians in the hallways.

Online tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children under 18.  Ticket sales support The International Brotherhood of Magicians, Ring 50.

If you have questions about any or all of the above, or questions about magic in general, you can email Selnick at [email protected] or call him 703-347-5540.  (If you contact Selnick asking how a magic trick is done, he will ask you if you can keep a secret.  When you say “yes”, he will tell you that so can he, so don’t ask.)
